This schedule will challenge drivers young and old, rookies and seasoned veterans.  We race on flat tracks to high banked paved ovals.  We race in front of large crowds on weekends that provide sponsors great exposure. Our touring racing series gets a maximum amount of laps due to our reputation of ensuring great races for drivers, sponsors and fans.  History has shown that we have consistently run the closest nose to tail, side by side racing of any Super Cup Series.  Each night of racing is close and our year end point’s race always come down to a last night performance that will thrill all.

American Super Cups – Slinger Speedway Race Results – Press ReleaseMay 3, 2015

The American Super Cups Racing Series opened the 2015 Super Cup racing season at Slinger Speedway on this wonderful spring afternoon. As the drivers and fans rolled into the track conditions were perfect for an opening competitive spring race. The cars took to the track after being in hibernation for the winter. Most drivers had been doing car shows across the Midwest since last October and were now ready to attack the high banks of Slinger.

Practice sessions gave the drivers the chance to take the shiny new paint jobs around the track and work out the race cars. Pre-race safety checks and inspections were conducted and all the cars and equipment checked out and were free to hit the track. Thanks to Brian Baldyga for assisting in the technical inspection process. Brian - The 2014 ASCS champion is on the mend from a work related injury that will keep him out of competition for the first few weeks. The qualifying was the usual battle with these highly competitive cars. 2014 Rookie of the Year - Derek Doerr picked up where he left off - with a pole, followed by Mick Ellis and Andy Forster for top qualifier awards.

The first heat race of the year started with close battles at the front of the field as the cars battled for positions running two and three wide, nose to tail. A few laps into the heat Derek and Andy had some contact that resulted in Derek spinning on the front straight away. Mick and David Cerer were racing for position behind that incident. David pulled low to just miss Derek and Mick went to the high side to avoid contact but ended up contacting the wall resulting in damage that kept him out of the action for the remainder of the day. On the restart David was able to capture his first win of the season followed by Ken Jones and Rookie of the year contender Chris Deren in the top three.

The feature race also kept the fans on their feet as the cars battled in closely contended racing. In the end Derick Doerr was able to capture the first feature checkered flag of the season followed by David, Andy and Chris. Other notable battles Greg Davis was able to hold off another 2015 Rookie of the year contender Kaitlyn Judy as they battled hard in the feature for a sixth and seventh finish. This was Kaitlyn’s 1st laps in the car and the go Kart experienced driver was smooth and performed well in her first outing.

Once again it was a great start to another Super Racing Season in the Midwest Premier Super Cup Racing Series. The fans and drivers were treated to the closest Super Cup Racing We look forward to seeing everyone at the next race – Dell’s Raceway Park, May 16, 2015 - Racing Starts at 7:00

American Super Cup Racing driver’s rolled into the Wisconsin Dell’s for a night of racing the town was packed for the annual car show. Friends and family were treated to a full day of car shows and racing. The day started off nicely but Mother Nature gave the track a little dose of rain in the afternoon which rained out qualifying. Practice session times were used to set the field but no points were awarded for qualifying.

Entering the heat race the drivers ran door to door again even pulling off 3 and 4 wide racing throughout the night. The heat race winner was Derek Doerr who was followed by Greg Davis who notched his best ever finish in second place.

After a brief intermission the ASCS drivers treated the race fans to more exciting close racing again. Rookie Chris Deren worked his way through the field and was nearing the front had contact with Ken Jones resulting in Chris and Greg spinning with no contact. The field went under caution for a few final lap shoot out. Andy Forster lost a chain and was able to coast off the track after threatening for a top position. Ken, Derek and Mick fought for the top three positions until the end and crossed the finish line together with Ken Pulling out the win.

Post-race in the pits the ASCS is always a fan favorite, drivers are available to speak with fans and to hand out driver and series cards. They also gave the fans an opportunity to sit in the race cars. Many of the drivers had handouts and sponsors samples. The #33 - Andy Forster and Pajadea’s Chips are always a big hit and boxes of chips were handed out that night.

Safe, close and competitive racing has always been a goal of ASCS. Thanks for all the sponsors, tracks, drivers and families for getting us off on a great start. ASCS next race will be at the historic Rockford Speedway on June 6th. Racing starts at 7:07. See you at the track

American Super Cups – Rockford Speedway Race Results – Press ReleaseJune 6, 2015

American Super Cups made our first appearance at Rockford Speedway for 2015 with an awesome night of racing. This was a night of racing for the kids and race fans. As usual everyone enjoyed the evening. We have had two different winners so far this year in our feature races and each race has come down to a photo finish.

The evening started off with Derek Doerr getting the pole position followed by Andy Forster and Greg Davis who had his best ever qualifying effort.

The heat race started with Ken Jones on the pole with the invert and Mick Ellis on the outside. When the green flag dropped the two drivers crossed the start line together and the upper groove line was moving Mick, Andy and Derek stayed in line and pulled into a single file line and followed each other while making eight closely contended laps for the heat race. They finished in that same order with Ken and rookie Chris Deren rounding out the top five.

The track lights came on for our 20 lap feature and the race cars bought fans to their feet again as some of the same drivers battled again for positions. Mick narrowly pulled off the win, Derek and Andy battled behind and Derek narrowly gained the second place position coming out of turn 4. Ken was not too far behind. Rookie Chris Deren, Greg Davis and Rookie Kaitlyn Judy tightly packed together for the 20 laps running side by side did a great job proving American Super Cups is still the most competitive super cup racing.

A big thanks to all the drivers for clean competitive racing and to Brian Baldyga for helping assist with tech inspections for the evening. We also had the opportunity to catch up with past Super Cup drivers Brandon Scurto and Tim Toussaint who came on down afterwards to reminisce and maybe get back into a car. 

After our racing was completed drivers became fans at the track. Late Models and School bus races were equally as competitive. Always a good night when school busses go 4 wide in the corner and gets a little tippy. After the racing was completed we kids and adults mobbed the cars in the pits talking with drivers, sitting in cars and getting autographs.

Up next June 21st for Father’s Day we return to Slinger Speedway high banks to see who can be the next winner

American Super Cups – Slinger Speedway Race Results – Press ReleaseJune 21, 2015

American Super Cup racing series returned to Slinger Speedway for the second time in 2015 on this wonderful Sunday afternoon. With the weather not being an issue the stands quickly filled up to see the best Super Cup Racing.

This evening was special for many reasons – the schools are closed for summer and it was scout night at the track. All uniformed scouts received free admission to the track and were able to see fellow American Super Cup Driver/Scout Michael Rose compete in his first Super Cup Race. Michael’s older brother already competes in the Slinger Bee Racing class. “There are a lot of lessons that I take from scouting into the racecar every week” said Rose “Work Hard, do your best and have fun with it is how I approach racing”

Today was also Father’s Day. Driver’s that are fathers, drivers with fathers and families all were able to spend an awesome day at the track. We have had 3 different winners so far this season who would bust through or who would be our first repeat winner in 2015?

The qualifying session opened up and Derek Doerr continues to impress with a pole position. Derek just barely edged out Andy Forster and Mick Ellis for those valuable pole position points.

In the heat race drivers paced to the starting line in a nice pack and provided the crowd with close side by side, nose to tail racing. In the end Derek was able to pull off the heat race win, followed by Andy and Rookie contender Chris Deren. This was Chris’s first race on the pole to lead a race and he did a great job to stay in front of the field.

Chis also earned to pole with the invert for the feature and once again did a great job leading the pack. With the mix of young drivers and experience the racing is very close and provides constant edge of your seat racing. Derek and Andy battled in the front for a few laps and Derek worked his way to front of the pack from previous week’s winner’s row. Not to be held back he captured the lead and was able to hold off Andy and Derek. Ken Jones, Mick Ellis completed the top five. Rookie Kaitlyn Judy also completed her Rookie rear of the field starts and drove a smooth race to finish sixth. Our other Rookie Michael Rose drove a good race. His first out he was able to complete the race and received praise from fellow drivers as we was able to maintain excellent car control and not have any issue’s.

Post-race in the pit area was crowded as the scout and race fans were able to mingle with the drivers and racecars. Father’s day was complete and so is another race at Slinger Speedway.

Up next July 3rd for a 4th of July celebrations at the Tomah/Sparta Speedway to see who can be the first winner from the American Super Cup Series at the track. Should be a fun night with fireworks after the racing.

Anyone interested in getting involved with American Super Cup Racing can contact us at our website www.americansupercups.com - Phone - 312-350-5566 or email - americansupercups@yahoo.com. We have new and used race cars available for sale. A nightly rental car program is also available.
