This is the trophy for the 4th Annual Cpl. Christian Smith Memorial Race at Grundy County Speedway
This would have been Christian's 32 birthday. This 29 inch tall 15lb trophy was my idea, design, and I came up with the walnut base. But without Joe Fadke and Scott Pool, it would not exist. I gave Joe a picture of the Fallen Soldier piece with the size I was looking for. It was cut out of 1/2" solid aluminum. The surface was dull. Scott took it and put in hours buffing it to a mirror finish, painted the trim, and mounted it to the base. This is the 4th different trophy I have come up with for my son's race. It is the prize we race for. I hope whoever wins this one is going to have something they can display proudly.
